Nico di Angelo sneaked in your bed, his body wrapping around yours as he hid his tear stained face in your soft hair. Grunting, you turned to face Nico, eyes clenched closed, and wrapped your arms around his lean form.
Your heart hurt when you felt him shake with silent sobs. Kissing his neck, you rubbed his back slowly, trying to soothe his pain away. You wiggled around for a bit, changing positions so his ear was above your heart. It was an awkward position, but that was how you calmed down your younger sibling whenever he was upset. You could only hope that the beating of your heart would have the same effect on Nico.
His breath warmed the skin beneath the light gray tank-top you were wearing, his left arm across your stomach and hand placed on your ribs, the fingertips almost touching your breast. Yet, you didn't make Nico move, only scratched his scalp gently, fingers soothingly passing through his dark locks. You could feel his heart beat slow against your side.
Smiling, you let yourself fall asleep, hoping that Nico would not have another nightmare.
And that your cabin mates would not tease the hell out of you two.
